Lauren Matsumoto is a painter whose work explores how we relate to nature. She is best known for her use of a hybrid form of painting, drawing, and collage. During nearly three decades as an artist, she has exhibited her artwork across the United States in over 50 exhibitions. Internationally, her work was presented in a solo show at Fabrik Gallery in Hong Kong, and in group shows at the Art Complex Gallery in Tokyo and the United States Embassy in Oman. Her work has been featured in notable publications such as Domino, Aesthetica, HOME Journal, Studio Visit, and Graphis, as well as on the cover of Fresh Paint Magazine. Matsumoto has an international collector base, including works held by the Fontaine Collection and the Morean Arts Center in the U.S. She received her MFA from the School of Visual Arts and BA in Painting from Yale University. She is a full-time painter at her studio in Brooklyn, NY.
