Justin has directed numerous productions around the country including On the Subway and Carrie: the Musical. In 2013, Justin became the Founder and Artistic Director of Lilac City Performing Arts in Spokane, Washington.
Most recently, Justin directed Solitaire: An Original Play at Spaceworks LIC. This devised work follows the lives of Jordan and Christy, both living with depression, and the affect it has on their lives as well as those who love them. The Trevor Project (www.thetrevorproject.org) was given 20% of ticket sales as a donation. Justin also starred in Spaceworks Artist Gotham Dance Theater‘s rendition of Ophelia in Spring 2015.
Justin is known his devising method, which he developed while working on Hog Heaven. In a devised work, actors are cast before the script is written and a narrative is created organically through collaboration between the cast and director. The process begins with the artists bringing source material that inspire them regarding the premise as well as personal experiences.
